 We have so far found 2 good weather add-on’s for storm chasers to use with Google Earth while at home or out chasing in the car on the laptop. The first one is from Blitzortung the same people that have brought you the lightning image above, adding this puts a lightning radar onto Google Earth and shows lighting strikes in the uk and how long ago the strikes hit with different colours just like above. The second add on is a rain radar from Meteox, which puts a radar showing all rain in the uk and its intensity.
To install these into Google Earth click on the links below and download and extract them, then double click on the icon, this will start up Google Earth and add it to your temporary places, which you will be asked if you want to save when shutting down Google Earth which you answer yes to.
